Adding Notes in SummerOS
When you're building a revenue projection—especially as part of a larger team—it helps to keep track of your thinking. That’s where Notes come in. SummerOS lets you leave contextual notes directly within a projection, whether you're flagging a comp, tracking assumptions, or collaborating with teammates.
Notes are attached to the projection and visible to everyone on your team. They’re a lightweight but powerful way to document decisions and assumptions in context.
When to use notes
Here are a few common use cases:
- Flag why a particular property was included or excluded from your comp set
- Note pending upgrades like “Planning to add a hot tub in Q4”
- Leave reminders to revisit assumptions or update availability
- Collaborate across teams by documenting investment rationale or underwriting logic
How to add a note
- Navigate to the Notes tab within the Comp Set or Market view
- Click “New note”
- Type your note and hit Save
Your note will appear below, along with a timestamp and the name of the teammate who added it.

Every note is stored with author attribution, so your whole team can stay aligned on what's been added—and why.
